Objective Based on the perspective of "green production， green living， and green ecology"（“production-living-ecology”）， this paper constructs an evaluation index system for the green development level of the Hefei metropolitan area， and analyzes the green development level of the Hefei metropolitan area， in order to provide reference for the green development of the Hefei metropolitan area.Method The entropy weight TOPSIS model and obstacle degree model were used to measure the level of green development in the Hefei metropolitan area from 2018 to 2022， exploring the changes in the level of green development in the Hefei metropolitan area and the obstacles that hinder green development.Result Overall， the trend of green development level changes varies among cities in the Hefei metropolitan area， with both green production and green ecological level increasing， and green living standards fluctuating； Green living is the main dimension hindering the green development of the Hefei metropolitan area. The number of urban employee pension insurance participants， per capita comprehensive utilization of general industrial solid waste， the ratio of technology expenditure to general public budget expenditure， per capita water resources， and per capita park and green space area are the main factors hindering the green development of the Hefei metropolitan area.Conclusion Urban construction is strengthened and residents'' green living standards are improved. The gap in green development levels between cities is narrowed and optimization paths are proposed for targeted implementation of green development and other aspects.
